Tracking Workshop Discover what your dog can do when you let their nose lead the way! Our Tracking Workshop is designed for complete beginners through novice tracking teams. You’ll learn the foundations of tracking, including how to introduce your dog to a track, build confidence and independence, lay appropriate training tracks, and gradually increase difficulty as your dog develops their skills. Tracking is suitable for dogs of all breeds, sizes and ages. No previous tracking experience is required. Dogs who have completed Lost & Found Seeker may have an advantage because they already understand using their nose to search with purpose, but it is not a prerequisite. Workshops are primarily outdoors, giving dogs the opportunity to learn on real surfaces and in changing environments, although some teaching and exercises may take place indoors. These workshops are also the first step toward joining our Tracking Club, where teams can continue practising through organized meet-ups at different locations and work toward more challenging tracks. Whether you’re interested in eventually competing or simply want an engaging outdoor activity to enjoy with your dog, tracking provides a fantastic opportunity to work together while letting your dog do what comes naturally—follow their nose!
