Rally is one of the most enjoyable ways to continue your dog’s training long after basic Manners classes are finished. Designed for everyday dogs and their people, Rally builds the real-life skills every owner appreciates—attention, loose leash walking, reliable stays, teamwork, and clear communication. It transforms obedience into a fun, engaging activity that keeps both dog and handler learning together. In Rally, teams follow a course of numbered signs, with each sign asking the dog and handler to perform a different exercise. During class, we’ll break those skills down into easy-to-learn pieces before combining them into short sequences and full courses. Every session offers new exercises and challenges, helping dogs become more focused, responsive, and confident while having fun. Some teams enjoy Rally simply as an ongoing training activity and a wonderful way to strengthen their partnership with their dog. Others discover a love of Trialling and choose to compete. Our instructors will support whichever path is right for you. This class is designed to be taken more than once. Every dog learns at a different pace, and each six-week session introduces new exercises, coaching, and course layouts. Many teams continue attending Rally Foundations while building confidence and polishing their skills before progressing to Open Rally or entering their first Trial. Prerequisites: Dogs should have completed Bluewater Manners Level 2 or have equivalent training. Dogs should walk politely on leash and have a solid understanding of basic cues such as sit, down, and stay.
