Lost & Found – Locator Skills Take your search dog skills to the next level! Locator Skills builds on the foundations of Lost & Found by asking dogs to take greater responsibility for the search. Dogs learn to work more independently, follow scent information, solve increasingly challenging search problems and confidently hunt for their target. Searches may be completed on leash or off leash, depending on the dog, environment and skill being developed. Classes may take place indoors or outdoors, giving dogs experience searching in a variety of real-world situations. Just like real search work, no two searches are exactly alike. Locator Skills is designed to be taken multiple times, with new challenges and setups each week so dogs can continue developing independence, confidence and search strategy. Ideal for teams who have strong Seeker foundations and are ready for more advanced work — whether your goal is competition at the Locator level or simply the fun of developing your own search dog.
